The qualification is regulated by Ofqual and recognises advanced practical competence in the installation, termination, testing and understanding of enterprise structured cabling systems.
The qualification is also recognised by the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) as an accepted Level 3 qualification route for the ECS Network Infrastructure Installer (Level 3) – Copper card. Delegates wishing to apply for an ECS card must also meet the additional ECS eligibility requirements, including the required industry experience and a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment.
