HM Forces Fibre Telecommunications Bootcamp

We have created a comprehensive fibre optic telecommunications package for HM Forces resettlement leavers who can utilise the ELCAS funding scheme and resettlement grants provided by the Ministry of Defence. Our ELCAS provider number is 3301.

At Total Network Solutions (Europe) Ltd, operating under the name Fibre Optics Training, we actively collaborate with employers within the telecommunications industry to tackle the skills shortage now and in the future. For nearly two decades, we have been dedicated to supporting both the telecommunications sector and service leavers.

Our package includes:

This four-week bootcamp training course in fibre telecommunications will provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in fibre optic telecommunications. We employ blended learning techniques, enabling students to complete part of the course material before attending class.

We provide training in realistic scenario environments that closely resemble real-world settings. This includes working in underground chambers, with telegraph poles, street-side cabinets, and optical distribution frames typically found in exchanges. After completing all practical hands-on training, you will learn about fibre network testing and troubleshooting. We offer the same benefits to fibre broadband providers, developed in collaboration with them, to enhance the careers of many of the thousands of individuals we have trained over the years.

More about this course:

Our Fibre Optic Telecommunications bootcamp is designed to give your career a significant boost. We incorporate the City & Guilds 3668 Level 3 units into our program to ensure you can start your new job effectively and qualify for various roles. The job market can be challenging, but possessing the right vocational skills will give you an edge over the competition. With an industry-recognised qualification from City & Guilds, you’ll also have credentials that are transferable to other countries.

By the end of the course you will be competent in the following:

✔️ 3668-03 Unit 301 Safe Working Practices (mandatory for full award)

✔️ 3668-03 Unit 302 Telecommunication fundamentals (mandatory for full award)

✔️ 3668-03 Unit 303 Fibre Optics

As part of this package, we offer a CV workshop for HM Forces resettlement leavers, where recruiters will assist with CV writing to help them find employment.
