The difference between vocational and accreditation

The difference between the two is simple: vocational awards are typically level 2 or level 3, they are mapped according to OFQUAL, and vocational awards are set with the industry and employers to meet a framework that allows units of credits to be awarded to individuals, these may form part of a larger qualification, like a diploma as these would require multiple modules to be completed to be awarded a certificate. They are also aligned with higher qualifications so that they can progress towards a higher certificate.
